In June, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is anticipated to travel to Russia and meet with President Vladimir Putin.

In an interview, Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, Pakistan’s ambassador to Russia, made this claim. He stated that efforts are being made to finalise the visit dates and expressed optimism that the significant trip will take place by June.

The envoy claims that the prime minister sees the trip as a historic chance and is eager to meet the Russian president, whom he regards as a statesman and powerful world leader.

Speaking on the Middle East, the ambassador disclosed that Pakistan has asked Russia to help ease rising tensions with Iran by using its influence over Israel.

He continued by saying that diplomatic ties between Moscow and Islamabad are still open, and Pakistan has communicated that a conflict with Iran may be harmful to Israel.

The envoy reiterated Pakistan’s dedication to advancing regional peace and stability and to actively taking part in international diplomatic initiatives.
