In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, evening courts are now open.

In an effort to give the public prompt justice and convenience, the Peshawar High Court opened Evening Courts (Double Shift Courts) in Peshawar on Tuesday.

The first double docket (evening) court in the provincial capital of Peshawar was officially opened by Chief Justice Syed Attique Shah of the Peshawar High Court (PHC). The new court will be open every day until 5:30 p.m.

In order to provide prompt relief and better case management, the evening court would hear urgent cases, such as family and rent conflicts, women and juvenile cases, and drug crimes.

Two second-shift courts have now opened in Peshawar, according to Registrar Muhammad Zaib of the Peshawar High Court. Evening courts were initially introduced in Abbottabad.
