In Muzaffargarh, a lightning strike kills 36 priceless goats.
Locals claim that the goats cost more than Rs 1.8 million.
Muhammad Sharif, a cattle farmer from the Layyah district, owned the goats. His village is close to the Sarwar Shaheed Chowk (Muzaffargarh). The loss of the priceless goats caused the locals to express their sadness.
The farmer requested financial assistance from the Punjab government, stating that the accident would cause him a lot of problems going forward.
The inhabitants of Tharparkar might be spared the loss of life and property if China had given Pakistan meteorological devices capable of detecting lightning early in 2013.
Mehr Sahibzad Khan, Director General of the Meteorological Department, claims that China has donated 25 weather monitors to Pakistan at no cost, valued at US$1 million. The Chinese apparatus will have the capability to anticipate lightning strikes ahead of schedule.
According to Mehr Sahibzad Khan, weather detectors are being placed around the country, and a radar with a 14,000 km range is being imported from China. The new technology will allow for the prompt identification of natural calamities brought on by climate change.
