The price of silver increased by 374 rupees per tola, bringing the domestic price to 8,948 rupees.
Market instability and shifts in global demand are cited by analysts as the reasons for the increase.
Local rates increased as a result of a dramatic global price increase the day before. Gold gained $25 an ounce to $5,037 on the global bullion market.
In Pakistan, 10 grams of gold increased by PKR 2,144 to PKR 451,356, while the price of gold per tola increased by PKR 2,500 to PKR 526,462. The price of silver increased as well, going up PKR 170 to PKR 8,574 a tola and PKR 145 to PKR 7,350 for 10 grams.
Global demand, market turbulence, and investor interest in precious metals as safe-haven investments are all factors contributing to rising gold and silver prices.
