In the Gwadar region, Pakistan Coast Guards confiscate drugs valued at $134 million.

As part of intelligence-based anti-smuggling operations in the Gwadar region, which includes the neighborhoods of Hallery and Peshogan, the Pakistan Coast Guards (PCG) have confiscated a significant amount of high-quality drugs.
Teams from the Coast Guard found 1,400 kilograms of hashish, 105 kilos of crystal meth (ice), 8 kilograms of heroin, and 6.5 kilograms of opium concealed in bushes in the Hallery neighborhood of Gwadar, the PCG said in a statement.
During snap-checking along the coastline road at Pasoo Gap in Peshogan, the PCG recovered 476 kilograms of high-quality hashish in a separate operation. According to authorities, the drugs were meant to be trafficked overseas using maritime means.
The estimated international market value of the pharmaceuticals that were seized is $134.43 million.
In an effort to boost the country’s economy, the Pakistan Coast Guards reiterated their dedication to fighting drug trafficking and all types of smuggling.
