In the recovery case of PTI activist Arslan Akbar, the LHC demands a response from the Sialkot DPO.
Arslan Akbar, a social media activist for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), is being recovered, and the Lahore High Court (LHC) has given the Sialkot district police officer (DPO) till August 2 to react.
Arslan Akbar, the son of abducted PTI activist Muhammad Akbar, applied to have his son returned, and LHC Justice Anwarul Haq Pannu granted his request.
In front of the court was applicant’s attorney, Barrister Khadija Siddiqui.
According to the petitioner, social media activists were detained on June 29 when hundreds of police officers raided Arslan’s home.
Additionally, the police seized the abducted PTI activist’s cell phone and laptop.
In order to secure Arslan Akbar’s release from captivity and his court appearance, the petitioner asked the judge to grant permission.
The case hearing has been postponed to August 2 by the LHC in order to receive a response from the DPO of Sialkot.
