India is responsible for regional terrorism and conducts operations via Afghanistan: Pakistan

Pakistan has accused India of supporting terrorist activities in Pakistan through Afghanistan and participating in terrorism in the area. Additionally, Pakistan accused its neighbor of continuously contributing to regional instability.

Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the UN, stated that India’s approach to Afghanistan is intended to destabilize Pakistan during a UN Security Council meeting. He continued by saying that Pakistan has already given the international community comprehensive proof of India’s ties to terrorists.

Pakistan will not permit India to exploit Afghan land against Pakistan, according to Asim Iftikhar. He added that terrorists are being sheltered by the Taliban government and that water is being exploited as a weapon. He said that innocent civilians in Pakistan had been killed by Afghan insurgents.

He informed the Security Council that terrorists have been carrying out suicide attacks in several Pakistani cities and that Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan, Balochistan Liberation Army, and other militant organizations organize terrorist strikes from Afghanistan.

Asim Iftikhar added that the Taliban government attacked Pakistan without warning on February 26. Terrorists originating from Afghanistan slaughtered innocent Pakistani residents. In response, he said, Pakistan targeted terrorists and hostile troops, and during counterterrorism operations, foreign weapons were found.

The Pakistani envoy explained that although terrorist groups now use Afghanistan as a safe haven, Pakistan nevertheless desires a stable and peaceful Afghanistan. He claimed that the Taliban government was in charge of ushering in a new era of peace.

He went on to say that the Doha Agreement is being broken by the Afghan Taliban government and underlined that the only way to move forward is to put it into practice.
