Iranian Consul General and Governor KP Talk About the Current Regional Situation

On Sunday, during an Iftar dinner at the Governor’s House, Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi met with Ali Banafsha Khah, the Iranian Consul General in Peshawar.

During the meeting, the Iranian Consul General formally invited the Governor to Tehran from April 17 to 20 for the Pak-Iran Trades and Investment Council Pavilion.

The long-standing close ties between Iran and Pakistan as well as the current state of affairs in the area were among the topics of mutual interest that were thoroughly explored. The Governor expressed gratitude to the Iranian Consul General for coming to the Governor’s House for the Iftar meal.

Governor Kundi, who spoke at the event, stated that Iran and Pakistan, two Islamic neighboring nations, are strategically important and should cooperate to further develop their commerce and trade relations.

He underlined that neighboring Islamic nations must show solidarity in order to foil hostile plans if the area is to experience long-term peace and stability.

According to the Iranian Consul General, Iran’s people have long-standing love and cultural ties to their neighbor, Pakistan, and they are eager to expand their bilateral collaboration in a variety of areas.
