Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi discussed the changing regional dynamics and wider global issues.

Ishaq Dar engaged in a telephonic dialogue with the Chinese foreign minister, articulating Pakistan’s viewpoint and emphasising the imperative to alleviate tensions in the Middle East and the broader region.

Foreign Minister Wang Yi commended Pakistan’s proactive initiatives to foster de-escalation and stability in the area.

The two leaders underscored the need of de-escalation and highlighted the necessity of engaging in discussion and diplomacy in alignment with the ideals of the United Nations Charter, as stated by the Foreign Office spokeswoman in a press statement.

Both parties reaffirmed the lasting strength of the Pakistan-China All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership, repeated their mutual commitment to enhancing bilateral cooperation, and consented to maintain constant communication.
