Kalat and surrounding areas are shaken by a small earthquake.

On Tuesday, Kalat and the surrounding districts of Balochistan province were rocked by an earthquake with a magnitude of 3.0 on the Richter scale. In a panic, people fled their homes and began reciting passages from the Holy Quran. There were no reports of fatalities or property damage from the earthquake in any region of Kalat. Rescue organisations and the local government are keeping a careful eye on the situation.

The National Seismic Monitoring Centre in Islamabad reports that the earthquake’s epicentre was 12 km below Kalat.
