Karachi: SSGCL declares a 24-hour gas suspension for industries on January 11.

The utility company announced via social media that the gas supply to industrial units will be interrupted from 8:00 AM on January 11 till 8:00 AM on January 12.

SSGCL announced that this decision was implemented to guarantee a continuous supply and enhanced pressure for residential and commercial users, as demand for the resource has escalated due to the prevailing cold wave in the city.

The corporation confirmed that the regular daily load-shedding for residential and commercial users—from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM—will proceed as planned.

Residential and commercial clients seeing diminished gas pressure are urged to report their grievances through the 24-hour helpline at 1199.

Moreover, SSGCL implored the media and the public to convey this information appropriately.

The company observed that disinformation about analogous announcements last week resulted in unwarranted confusion and challenges for residential users.
