Khalid Maqbool addresses Mustafa Kamal’s press conference regarding the MQM founder.

Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, convener of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P), has responded to the recent press conference held by Federal Minister Mustafa Kamal criticising the party’s founder.
He stated that MQM-Pakistan had already articulated its comprehensive and unequivocal narrative of the party’s history on August 23, 2016.
Khalid Maqbool stated that on August 23, 2016, MQM-Pakistan unequivocally declared that all party decisions would be decided in Pakistan and that it had completely dissociated itself from MQM-London. He emphasised that this position remains constant.
Khalid Maqbool stated, “This is our comprehensive narrative, encompassing all matters,” noting that MQM-Pakistan’s stance had already addressed concerns over party leadership and historical difficulties.
His comments were a reaction to Mustafa Kamal’s recent news conference, during which Kamal reiterated grave accusations against the MQM founder, including assertions concerning the assassination of senior MQM leader Dr. Imran Farooq.
Mustafa Kamal Asserts MQM Founder Directed the Assassination of Imran Farooq Mustafa Kamal, a senior official of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) and Federal Health Minister, earlier asserted that the MQM founder arranged the assassination of senior party leader Dr. Imran Farooq, regarding the act as a “birthday gift.”
Dr. Imran Farooq was fatally murdered outside his residence in London in September 2010.
During a news conference in Karachi, with MQM-P leaders, Mustafa Kamal asserted that the MQM founder orchestrated dramatics surrounding the body. He further claimed that £500,000 was retrieved from beneath the founder’s pillow.
Kamal asserted that millions of pounds were amassed to enable the shipment of Dr Imran Farooq’s remains to Pakistan.
He demanded the prompt apprehension of those accountable for Dr. Imran Farooq’s assassination and denounced what he characterised as a contrived display involving the wife of the deceased leader.
Mustafa Kamal further said that the party founder had been getting cash from India’s spy organisation, RAW, for more than 25 years. He asserted that the founder’s influence allowed him to gather crowds of up to 500,000 individuals within minutes during strikes and protests in Karachi.
The federal minister additionally asserted that the MQM founder never championed constitutional reforms and valued personal control over national interests. He further alleged that he was responsible for populating graveyards, overflowing prisons, and the involuntary disappearance of several youths.
