KP CM directs action against unauthorised tenants of official homes and automobiles

Sohail Afridi, the chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has issued an order to take urgent action against those who have unlawfully occupied government cars and homes in Peshawar.
All retired or transferred government personnel have been instructed to leave official houses and surrender government cars immediately, per a memo released by the chief minister’s office.
The memo also directed all departments to look into instances in which workers had obtained more than one official housing.
Additionally, the document asked for the seizure of properties in which both spouses were given separate official residencies.
Employees who have taken government housing even though they own private residences in Peshawar are also have to give the assets back.
Additionally, the Planning and Development Department has been instructed by the chief minister to submit a comprehensive list of all government cars acquired during the previous ten years. Concerns about some government workers who kept their official cars after retiring or being transferred were addressed in the memo.
Sohail Afridi made it clear that misusing public funds would not be accepted and that those who do so would face harsh consequences.
