The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police have made the decision to improve their ability to combat terrorism by acquiring a variety of cutting-edge weapons, surveillance tools, and protective gear.
In order to enhance long-range accuracy and tactical responsiveness during high-risk missions, the procurement plan calls for the acquisition of 50 Beretta sniper rifles in addition to 100 more. In order to increase frontline firepower, the police force will also purchase 1,250 sophisticated automatic guns, known as TWS systems.
Additionally, 330 thermal TI cameras and 430 thermal binoculars will be acquired to enhance low-visibility and nighttime operations. These tools will improve tracking, surveillance, and detection capabilities in challenging terrain and inclement weather.
The KP Police will purchase 73 surveillance drones for real-time monitoring and reconnaissance as part of a larger technological upgrading. Four specialized search drones for intricate operations and fourteen more anti-drone weaponry will be purchased to combat aerial threats.
Details state that 20 brand-new bomb disposal suits would be bought for use in terrorist missions. Additionally, 1,000 Sparta body cams will be purchased to enhance documentation and assist with search operations.
The police will purchase 6,000 bulletproof vests and 6,000 bulletproof helmets to safeguard staff members during field deployments. Upgrades will also be made to a number of police cars, including giving 39 of them bullet-resistant windscreens and completely bulletproofing five double-cabin cars.
The army will also add 1,200 operational armored vehicles and 210 B7-level armored vehicles to its fleet, in addition to side armor and body construction for current vehicles.
