Maryam Nawaz calls on people to embrace zero-waste behaviors.

Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the chief minister of Punjab, stated that it is everyone’s duty to protect the environment from pollution. In honor of World Zero trash Day, she urged all citizens to refrain from using plastic and stressed the significance of public-level initiatives to cut trash and safeguard the environment.
According to her, the environment may be kept safe and clean by encouraging recycling, cutting waste, and implementing sustainable consumption practices.
“It is our collective responsibility to keep the Earth free of pollution,” she continued. Every city in Punjab is being changed toward zero-waste targets under the widely recognized “Clean Punjab” initiative.
Maryam Nawaz emphasized that the province’s trash management program has been acknowledged internationally for the first time.
Garbage and rubbish piles, she continued, are a contributing factor to pollution issues, biodiversity loss, environmental deterioration, and climate change.
Maryam Nawaz exhorts the country to work toward Pakistan’s respectable standing in the world.
According to the Chief Minister, prohibiting plastic bags has contributed to the achievement of zero-waste goals, and landfills are being transformed into solar parks and green woods. For the purpose of managing agricultural waste, farmers around the province are receiving subsidized super-seeders.
She went on to say that for the first time, manufacturers and other companies are properly enforcing environmental standards. Punjab has implemented mechanized zero-waste management methods and contemporary electric automobiles.
The province has also started “Waste-to-Value” initiatives to turn garbage into electricity and other beneficial goods.
