Met Office: Rain is expected in Karachi this evening or tonight.
In the country’s central and southern regions, monsoon currents are originating in the Bay of Bengal, the Met Office informed.
There were clouds hanging over Karachi’s sky, and it was starting to drizzle in several parts of the city.
The passage of a strong system of monsoon winds into Sindh has led the Pakistan Meteorological Department to expect heavy rainfall on Monday in Karachi and several other districts of Sindh.
Tuesday is when it’s expected to continue raining in Karachi.
The prediction further says that starting this evening or tonight and lasting until July 30, thundershowers will be seen in a number of Sindh districts.
Rainfall with wind/thundershower is anticipated on July 29 and 30, with sporadic gaps, in the following locations: Hyderabad, Shaheed Benazirabad, Sukkur, Khairpur, Shikarpur, Kashmore, Larkana, Jacobabad, Dadu, Badin, Sujawal, Chhore, Padidan, Mohen Jo Daro, Jamshoro, and Mirpur Khas. In some places, strong falls are also anticipated.
and On July 29 and 30, there’s a chance of flash flooding in the nearby hills of northeast Baluchistan, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, northeast Punjab, Koh-e-Sulaiman, and minor nullahs/streams in Kashmir.
Low-lying districts of Peshawar, lower Sindh, and northeastern/southern Punjab may also experience urban floods throughout the expected timeframe.
