Minister Ahsan Iqbal emphasizes international collaboration on climate funding

According to Professor Ahsan Iqbal, Federal Minister for Planning and Development, climate change has become the biggest worldwide issue of the modern period, and combating it calls for more international cooperation and shared responsibility.
He said that in order to help developing countries embrace green technologies at reduced costs, Pakistan has called on wealthy nations and international financial institutions to increase their participation in climate funding.
The minister cautioned that climate change is making emergencies worse and placing more financial strain on vulnerable nations during his speech at the Second Asia Energy Transition Summit here on Saturday.
He emphasized that in order to take sustainable climate action, financial incentives and concessional financing are now essential. He emphasized the necessity of redesigning the global financial system in accordance with the values of equity and shared responsibility.
The world is quickly moving toward ecologically friendly technologies and green architecture, according to Ahsan Iqbal.
According to him, Pakistan is also implementing extensive reforms in its development agenda to support green technical solutions, solar energy, and renewable energy.
