Minister: Railways will reduce expenses and increase connection.

Pakistan Railways will lower expenses and enhance connectivity to provide greater convenience for the business community as a whole, according to remarks made by Railways Minister Hanif Abbasi on Tuesday.
Here at the Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI), he was speaking with businesspeople. According to Abbasi, Pakistan has restored its standing as a responsible and peaceful nation on a worldwide scale.
“We are peace ambassadors, not terrorists.” Pakistan’s reputation abroad has improved since May 10. He claimed that because of Pakistan’s effective foreign policy, the United States, China, and the Middle East now view Pakistan similarly, increasing Pakistan’s standing internationally.
“The business community should have confidence,” he added, adding that “when investment comes, industries will run and the country will progress.” “Now is the best time and opportunity to improve Pakistan’s economy.”
According to Hanif Abbasi, national progress is guaranteed by national security. “We are no longer on the ventilator, but we were once.”
The prime minister has assigned a special priority for railway improvements, according to the railways minister, and cooperation between the Punjab government and railroads is growing.
The corporate community is represented by Chambers, he continued, and those who accuse taxpayers of being thieves are also thieves. It is imperative to consider stakeholders, and it is unacceptable to place further burdens on taxpayers.
According to LCCI President Faheem-ur-Rehman Saigol, modernizing railroad lines is a positive and vital step toward economic development.
Hanif Abbasi responded to the concerns and recommendations of the business sector by stating that the whole network, including railway stations, is undergoing upgrades.
There will be 484 kilometers of raised rail and 400 kilometers of new track installed. The Lahore–Rawalpindi single track will be upgraded with two billion rupees, with the goal of cutting the travel time between the two cities to 2.5 hours.
Major stations including Lahore, Karachi, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, and Rohri are undergoing development. In July, the Rs 2 billion Rohri–Karachi upgrade would receive approval. Along with the planting from Shahdara to Raiwind, the Narowal stretch and Lodhran station are also being improved.
According to him, the only nation where passenger revenue exceeds freight revenue is Pakistan, and this disparity is being fixed.
