Minister Shafay announces the establishment of a new industrial estate adjacent to the Rawalpindi Ring Road.

Punjab Minister for Industries and Commerce Chaudhry Shafay Hussain stated that businessmen are crucial in the nation’s economic progress, and their legitimate concerns are being addressed as a priority.

He formally announced the establishment of a new industrial estate adjacent to Rawalpindi Ring Road. The minister added guaranteed that the challenges confronting traders and the business community will be prioritized by the government.

He made this statement during his visit to the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) on Saturday, when he conducted an extensive meeting with RCCI President Usman Shaukat, Group Leader Sohail Altaf, and numerous businesspeople.

The gathering included an open dialogue regarding the difficulties confronting the industrial sector, which garnered significant admiration from the attendees.

The minister stated that, in accordance with the vision of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the industrialization process in the province has been markedly expedited. Industrial units are being established in Bahawalpur Industrial Estate for the first time, while the development of ten new factories has commenced in Quaid-e-Azam Business Park, Sheikhupura.

He emphasized that, following the Chief Minister’s directives, a Garment City is being constructed in Quaid-e-Azam Business Park to enhance the textile sector.

He stated that multiple new industrial estates are being established around Punjab to enhance investment prospects within the Special Economic Zones (SEZs). He encouraged entrepreneurs to fully utilize the incentives and amenities provided in these zones.

Chaudhry Shafay Hussain disclosed that the Punjab Chief Minister has sanctioned a significant initiative for the enhancement of infrastructure in small industrial parks, set to commence next month.

The Chief Minister will shortly convene talks with members from all chambers of trade and industry throughout the province, he stated.

The minister announced the permanent cancellation of plots in industrial estates that were allocated but did not have industrial units constructed in accordance with policy.

He condemned prior administrations for their inaction in enhancing industrial infrastructure, while the current government has executed significant improvements in this area.

Consequently, both domestic and international investors are now favoring Punjab for investment opportunities.

He additionally disclosed that during the forthcoming six months, the production of Vivo mobile phones will commence in Punjab, and lithium battery manufacturing facilities will soon be constructed in the region.

During the visit, the minister mandated the prompt enhancement of the access road to Rawat Industrial Estate. Industrialists offered significant recommendations to expedite the industrialization process.
