Motorways close in a number of locations as Punjab is covered in fog.

In order to protect the safety and well-being of drivers, the motorway police closed many motorways due to dense fog that covered several Punjabi cities and decreased visibility, according to a Friday report from Dunya News.

Normal living and traffic movement are being impacted by the growing intensity of fog in the morning and evening. Travelling on numerous major highways and motorways has become hazardous due to the fog.

Motorway M2 from Lahore to Hiran Minar, Motorway M3 from Faizpur to Jaranwala, and Motorway M11 from Lahore to Sialkot have all been restricted to all forms of traffic as part of safety precautions, according to the Motorway Police.

According to Motorway Police, fog has significantly decreased visibility, raising the possibility of accidents.

A Motorway Police representative has urged people to avoid needless travel, particularly at night when fog intensifies.

Drivers have been told to slow down, use fog lights, and keep a safe gap between cars if travel cannot be avoided.

He went on to say that in order to prevent any unfortunate incidents, vehicles should stay in their lanes and refrain from passing.
