MQM-P launches the “Save Karachi Campaign” to draw attention to the problems facing the metropolis.

The Muttahida Qaumi Movement–Pakistan (MQM-P) has declared the “Save Karachi Campaign,” which aims to draw attention to the city’s problems and rally support for its revitalization.

Senior MQM-P leader Farooq Sattar said the new year had arrived with high expectations for the nation during a press conference held on Sunday at the party’s headquarters in Bahadurabad. Referring to what he called a great national achievement, he said that the May 6–10 period would continue to be a significant turning point in Pakistani history.

The MQM-P leader acknowledged that the public supported the armed forces throughout difficult times and gave credit to the government, military leadership, and the armed forces for the accomplishment. According to him, the nation must now embark on what he called the “battle for the economy” in 2026.

Sattar emphasized the significance of Karachi, stating that the health of the city was directly related to Pakistan’s survival and stability. “Karachi must be saved if the country is to be saved,” he said.

He clarified that MQM-P delegations would meet with leaders of different political parties, attorneys, businesspeople, industrialists, and representatives from various societal groups throughout the city as part of the Save Karachi Campaign. Presenting Karachi’s case to all parties involved and fostering agreement on resolving its long-standing problems is the goal, he said.

Additionally, Farooq Sattar reaffirmed that MQM-P had separated from its founder and remained steadfast in that choice. He went on to mention Dr. Imran Farooq’s murder in London, saying that the case had even turned into a dispute between two nations.

According to the MQM-P leader, the party is dedicated to fulfilling its responsibilities in securing Karachi’s future and resolving the complaints of its citizens via democratic and political channels.
