Nadra warns citizens about fake website

The National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) has alerted the public to a phony website that poses as its official gateway in order to swindle people online.
Nadra claims that the bogus website, which is accessible at https://www.visa.nadragov.online, imitates the organization’s legitimate visa portal. The authority made it clear that this website is unrelated to Nadra and could be used to steal money or personal data.
It is recommended that citizens refrain from visiting the fraudulent website or divulging any personal information. https://visa.nadra.gov.pk is Nadra’s sole official visa portal. Additionally, the authority advised users to always utilize websites that finish in.gov.pk in order to access services.
Apart from that, Nine phony Nadra-style websites were blocked in the last month for trying to steal citizens’ personal information, according to an advice released by the National Cyber Emergency Response Team (NCERT).
The alert also warns citizens not to click on dubious links in emails or SMS messages and not to provide personal information without verification.
It also stated that NCERT and Nadra are still keeping a close eye on deceptive online activity and taking appropriate action.
