Mohsin Naqvi, the Minister for Interior and Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), conducted a late-night inspection of security measures at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium in preparation for the present cricket series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

He was accompanied by Fred Siriweerathne, the Sri Lankan High Commissioner, and Talal Chaudhry, the Minister of State for Interior. High-ranking officials, such as the Chief Commissioner of Islamabad, the Commissioner of Rawalpindi, the Inspector General of Islamabad Police, and other law enforcement representatives, were present during the visit.

Minister Naqvi evaluated the security protocols implemented and engaged with security professionals stationed at multiple locations surrounding the stadium. He praised their professionalism and dedication, encouraging them to maintain the same attitude and commitment in their tasks.

The Interior Minister subsequently visited with members of the Sri Lankan cricket team during their practice session and conveyed appreciation for their ongoing involvement in the Pakistan trip.
