Northern Pakistan faces a risk of flash floods, according to the NDMA.

A medium-level flash flood alert has been issued for the northern and western areas by the NDMA’s National Emergencies Operation Center (NEOC), warning that heavy rainfall and snowfall could cause unexpected water surges in the higher catchments and tributaries of the River Kabul.
The advice emphasizes the dangers in the streams of Panjkora, Swat, and Kalpani, where a combination of meteorological conditions might significantly increase water flows in related nullahs and tributaries, endangering vulnerable communities.
While low to medium flows are expected in the River Kabul near Nowshera and downstream of Tarbela Dam, flash flooding is probable in parts of Dir, Chitral, Swat, and Kohistan in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, along with their corresponding streams and drainage canals.
It has been recommended that Provincial and District Disaster Management Authorities stay vigilant, keep a close eye on susceptible areas, and rigorously adhere to local administrations’ extreme weather alerts.
While emergency services have been instructed to guarantee ready for prompt rescue and evacuation operations, if necessary, residents are advised to refrain from needless travel near nullahs, low-lying areas, and hazardous slopes. Through NEOC, NDMA is keeping a careful eye on the situation and working with district and provincial authorities to guarantee readiness and a timely reaction to any flood-related crises.
