On the occasion of Benazir Bhutto’s passing, PM Shehbaz honours him

On the occasion of her passing, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif paid respects to former Prime Minister Shaheed Benazir Bhutto, stating that she fought in a way that was unmatched for Pakistan’s democracy, public rights, and stability.

The prime minister said in a statement that the country was celebrating the martyrdom anniversary of Benazir Bhutto, Pakistan’s great-daughter, whose political battle and sacrifices bolstered the nation’s democratic values. He pointed out that Benazir Bhutto set a good example for coming generations by advancing democracy through tolerance, peace, and reconciliation.

Benazir Bhutto’s contributions to the nation and the country will always be recognised, according to the PM. He went on to say that a strong sense of patriotism and dedication to democratic ideals characterised her political legacy.

The prime minister went on to say that Benazir Bhutto was instrumental in empowering women, defending the rights of minorities, and promoting peace, progress, and democracy in Pakistan. He claimed that the country is still guided by her sacrifices and accomplishments.

On this day, the country renews its resolution to continue the path of tolerance, patience, rule of law, and public welfare for which Benazir Bhutto gave her life, the prime minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment.

He also prayed for Shaheed Benazir Bhutto’s ranks to be raised in the hereafter and paid condolences to her family and supporters, asking Allah Almighty to give them endurance and fortitude.
