On the occasion of Gilgit-Baltistan Independence Day, ISPR publishes a new song.

on the occasion of the Independence Day of Gilgit-Baltistan.

Young Gilgit-Baltistan vocalists contribute to the ISPR-released song, which exquisitely captures the area’s enduring and profound ties to its cherished country. It honors the courageous martyrs who gave their life in defense of the homeland.

The song’s lyrics firmly state that anyone who has ever tarnished Pakistan has been humiliated and disgraced. The song spreads the idea that unity is necessary for the country to have a bright future and that personal differences should be put aside. It highlights the fact that we are a magnificent country and that maintaining an environment of harmony, love, and fraternity is essential to the prosperity of our country.

It is important to keep in mind that Gilgit-Baltistan’s historic liberation from Dogra dominion occurred on November 1, 1947. With the intention of joining Pakistan, the people of Gilgit-Baltistan rose up in rebellion against Dogra control. The Maharaja’s rule came to an end when the Gilgit Scouts and local freedom fighters launched war on the Dogra regime. This was also the first time the Pakistani flag was flown over Gilgit.
