One injured by a burst from a sewer pipe in Karachi

The explosion happened next to a bank in Karachi’s new Sabzi Mandi neighbourhood, causing damage to the surrounding automobiles and parker bikes as well as smashing the glass windows of the surrounding buildings and shops.

A bomb in a sewage line at Lasbela, a coastal district of Balochistan near Karachi, earlier in the day injured at least eight people.

The explosion happened because gas got trapped in a sewer conduit close to Lasbela. Eight persons suffered burn injuries as a result of the explosion, and other buildings and a hotel were also destroyed.

15 persons, including the father of former PTI MNA Alamgir Khan, died when a factory-like building at Shershah Paracha Chowk in Karachi partially collapsed in December 2021 as a consequence of a strong explosion.

The explosion claimed the lives of at least 15 individuals and injured another 12. The explosion in the nullah appeared to be caused by gas, according to the police.

Along with other offices, the building houses a bank. Reportedly, the two-story structure was built over a sewage pipe. Numerous parked cars in the streets also sustained damage after the powerful blast.
