The determination was articulated during a meeting between President Asif Ali Zardari and his Kazakh colleague Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in Islamabad on Wednesday.

During the event, President Asif Ali Zardari stated that Pakistan and Kazakhstan are resolutely committed to enhancing cooperation in political, economic, and regional spheres, while expressing Pakistan’s willingness to collaborate closely with Kazakhstan to promote mutual objectives of peace, connectivity, and sustainable development.

He stated that Pakistan and Kazakhstan maintain a partnership founded on mutual trust, shared values, and a collective vision for regional growth.

He noted that the visit of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the first by a Kazakh head of state in over two decades, has provided a timely opportunity to reinvigorate bilateral ties and translate political goodwill into concrete outcomes through expanded cooperation and stronger institutional linkages.

President Asif Zardari articulated assurance that the Roadmap for Trade and Economic Cooperation 2025-2027, along with agreements on transit trade, customs collaboration, and banking, would alleviate operational impediments and create new opportunities for trade, investment, and business-to-business partnerships.

He emphasized the need of utilizing Pakistan’s capabilities and frameworks in sectors such as energy, agriculture, mining, information technology, and defense production.

The two leaders endorsed the execution of numerous bilateral agreements and memoranda of understanding, along with initiatives designed to enhance bilateral relations.

In his statements, Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized that his nation values its relationship with Pakistan and considers the alliance a fundamental component of regional collaboration.

He conveyed contentment on the favorable progression of bilateral relations.
