Pakistan and the UK have signed a new climate cooperation agreement.

An agreement for collaboration on climate change has been finalised between Pakistan and the United Kingdom.
The partnership agreement was signed by UK Minister for Development and Federal Minister Musadik Malik.
Musadik Malik, the Federal Minister for Climate Change, stated during the signing ceremony that Pakistan is greatly impacted by the effects of climate change and that the UK and Pakistan have been working together on this issue for many years.
According to him, floods have killed 4,700 people and maimed or handicapped another 17,000. Forty million people have been displaced by floods, and the damage they have wreaked accounts for a sizeable amount of the nation’s GDP.
Pakistan and the UK are still working together on the environment issue, Musadik Malik continued.
“The UK-Pakistan Green Compact agreement holds great importance for environmental protection,” the UK Minister for Planning stated during the ceremony. Under this program, both nations hope to collaborate, she continued.
According to her, the program’s goal is to shield the citizens of both nations from the adverse consequences of climate change.
