Pakistan and Turkey both say they are still committed to peace and stability in the region.

Pakistan and Turkey have said again that they will continue to work closely together and coordinate their efforts on issues that affect the region and the world as a whole. They will also work to promote peace, stability, and prosperity in the region. Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met in Baku to reach the deal. Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, and Ilham Aliyev, the President of Azerbaijan, were also at the meeting. During the talks, both leaders went over all the different parts of the relationship between Pakistan and Turkey and said they were committed to working together even more in areas that are important to both countries. The Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif, praised the lively celebrations of Pakistan-Turkey Friendship Week, saying they showed how strong and long-lasting the ties are between the two brotherly countries. He reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to turning its close relationship with Turkey into a full partnership that includes political, defense, economic, trade, investment, and people-to-people ties. It was also decided at the meeting that a group of Turkish ministers will visit Pakistan soon to make the two countries’ cooperation even stronger.
