Pakistan denies Afghanistan’s appeal to stop its counterattack.

Afghanistan asked Pakistan to stop the counterattack, but Pakistan refused, stating that it will continue the retaliatory reaction to eradicate all threats.

Security sources said that after the Pakistan Army responded forcefully and persistently to Afghan forces’ unprovoked cross-border firing, Afghanistan has asked Pakistan to stop its massive counteraction.

The sources claim that Afghan troops engaged in unprovoked firing at several locations along the Pakistan-Afghan border, including Angoor Adda, Bajaur, Kurram, Dir, Chitral in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Baramcha in Balochistan, in order to aid Khawarij formations, which were identified as Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) proxies sponsored by India.

Using artillery, tanks, and aerial capabilities, Pakistan Army positions reacted forcefully, successfully attacking Afghan military installations and insurgent strongholds.

The Pakistan Army continues to respond against Afghan forces with vigour and determination. The fierce counterattack has left Afghan forces in a panic, according to security sources. “Due to significant losses, a number of Afghan posts have been abandoned.”

“After Pakistan’s strong and efficient response, Afghan soldiers fled, leaving several bodies at their posts.”

As Pakistani forces continue to bomb locations connected to Khawarij and Daesh groups operating from Afghan soil, security sources reported that Afghanistan has formally asked Pakistan to stop its counteraction.

The sources also disclosed that several Afghan checkpoints were destroyed by Pakistani forces using a combination of drone attacks and precise artillery. According to one official, “the Army’s prompt and decisive action has neutralised key militant hideouts under the protection of Afghan authorities.”
