In a statement, he added that travellers, investors, and businesspeople from 126 countries would receive online visas in less than a day.

Business travellers and visitors from these 126 nations, he claimed, would not need to pay for a visa.

He further mentioned that, in an effort to encourage religious travel, a subcategory of the visa on arrival program has been authorised for Sikh Yatrees who possess a passport from a third nation.

The airports in Islamabad, Karachi, and Lahore are enforcing the E-system of electronic gates, according to Shehbaz Sharif.

According to him, loosening visa regulations will improve foreign exchange reserves and promote economic stability.

The decision to allow investors and businesses to enter the country without a visa was previously approved by the federal cabinet with the goal of fostering commerce and investment with friendly nations.

In his speech to the cabinet, the prime minister emphasised that the administration is working to make doing business in the nation easier.

He stated that, as a result of a recent discussion amongst various ministries, a liberal visa policy has been agreed upon to encourage investment and tourism, particularly religious tourism, within the nation. According to him, the cabinet would consider and approve the visa policy.

Speaking about the new visa policy in detail, the prime minister stated that it will bring about significant improvements, such as free visas for travellers and business travellers from 126 nations.

He was optimistic that this approach will allow travellers and the business community to enter Pakistan. In addition, he stated that the visa will be issued via an electronic travel authorisation form in twenty-four hours.

The prime minister announced the installation of e-gates at Gwadar port and nine airports. He stated that the initial installation of these e-gates will take place at the airports in Islamabad, Lahore, and Karachi.
