Pakistan highly appreciates its brotherly relations with Bahrain. Chief Executive

On Thursday, President Asif Ali Zardari reiterated Pakistan’s steadfast commitment to enhancing its fraternal relations with the Kingdom of Bahrain.

He was conversing with the Ambassador of Bahrain to Pakistan, Mohamed Ebrahim Mohamed Abdulqader, who visited him at Aiwan-e-Sadr.

The President emphasized the strong ties between the two nations, founded on common religious and cultural values, and noted Pakistan’s intention to enhance collaboration in political, economic, and interpersonal spheres, according to a news release from the Presidency.

President Zardari stated that Pakistan highly appreciates its deep and fraternal relations with Bahrain, which are based on mutual religious and cultural ties. The prime minister’s recent visit to Bahrain was characterized by a warm welcome and gracious hospitality towards Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, which exemplified the profound and cordial relations between the two nations.

The President noted that the Prime Minister has extended an invitation to the Bahraini leadership, comprising the King, the Crown Prince, and the Deputy Crown Prince, to visit Pakistan, expressing anticipation for their arrival. He expressed gratitude for the King of Bahrain’s courteous acceptance of the invitation to visit Pakistan.

President Zardari commended Bahrain on its election to the United Nations Security Council for the 2026–2027 term and expressed gratitude for the Kingdom’s cooperation and support in the aftermath of recent terrorist occurrences in Pakistan.

The President emphasized economic collaboration, stating that Pakistan is eager to enhance trade and investment relations with Bahrain and supports steps to broaden bilateral economic engagement. He urged Bahraini investors to investigate prospects in key industries, such as food security, information technology, and tourism.

The President conveyed gratitude towards the Pakistani community in Bahrain, acknowledging their significant contribution to Bahrain’s economy and their support for Pakistan via remittances. He expressed thanks to the Kingdom for the respect and opportunities afforded to over 100,000 Pakistanis and acknowledged His Majesty’s magnanimous pardon of Pakistani inmates.

Senator Sherry Rehman, the Parliamentary Leader of the PPP in the Senate, and Senator Saleem Mandviwala also attended the meeting.
