Pakistan’s strong support for Palestinians is reaffirmed by the president and prime minister.

Pakistan will continue to offer its Palestinian brothers and sisters all the political, diplomatic, humanitarian, and moral support that it can, according to statements made by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Asif Ali Zardari.

In his statement on the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, the president stated, “We reiterate our unwavering support for the establishment of an independent, sovereign, viable, and contiguous State of Palestine, based on pre-June 1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.”

President Zardari said Pakistan places a high value on its close and historical ties to the brotherly State of Palestine, praising the courageous Palestinian people for writing a new chapter in history with unmatched bravery, unwavering resilience, and unwavering resolve in the face of overwhelming adversity.

Pakistan is steadfast in its support of the Palestinian people. The global principles of justice, equity, and human dignity are the foundation of our support for the Palestinian cause. He added that even in the most dire circumstances, the Pakistani nation has stood shoulder to shoulder with its Palestinian brothers and sisters, demonstrating the strong attachment and respect that exist between the people of Pakistan and Palestine.

The president emphasised that Pakistan’s whole existence has included support for the Palestinian people. The renowned Lahore Resolution of 1940 included a resolution of solidarity for the Palestinian people and their sovereignty, seven years before Pakistan was ever created.

According to him, Pakistan has continuously denounced the crimes committed by Israeli occupying troops in Gaza and has advocated for the Palestinians in all forums. On numerous occasions, we have demanded full justice for the war crimes committed by the Israeli occupying troops, the protection of people, an immediate, unconditional, and permanent ceasefire, and unrestricted humanitarian access.

“We continue to fight for the Palestinian people’s fundamental rights in all international fora, including the UN, OIC, ICJ, and NAM.

With the hope that it will put an end to the unspeakable suffering of Palestinians due to Israel’s aggression and crimes against humanity, we have actively participated in the Gaza Peace Deal.

He added, “It is my earnest desire to offer prayers at Al-Aqsa Mosque alongside my Palestinian brethren one day.” He hoped that justice and peace would triumph and that the Palestinian people’s tenacity would inspire the conscience of the world. Inshallah!

PM Shehbaz Sharif stated in a separate statement that Pakistan’s government and people are steadfastly committed to supporting their Palestinian brothers and sisters.

The Palestinian people have suffered one of the most terrible tragedies of our time for decades, he said in a statement on November 29, the International Day of Solidarity with Palestinian People: their right to self-determination has been denied, their land has been stolen, and their peace has been shattered.

“Over 70,000 people, including women, men, and children, have been martyred in Gaza in recent years as a result of the unrelenting violence.”

“Gaza underwent brutal atrocities with entire neighbourhoods erased and entire families wiped out,” he declared. The fundamental civic infrastructure, including homes, hospitals, and schools, has been reduced to rubble.

However, he added, “The Palestinian people have shown remarkable fortitude and perseverance in clinging to hope for their identity and justice for their cause in spite of this regrettable and inexplicable suffering.” The Palestinian people’s bravery is proof of the resilience of the human spirit.

In light of these sobering facts, he added, “Israel’s war crimes and genocidal acts against the Palestinian people must be fully and credibly held accountable in accordance with international law.”

But the High-Level Conference on the Two State Solution and the Gaza Peace Plan have presented a genuine possibility, he noted. It is necessary to maintain the ceasefire. Israel must guarantee unimpeded humanitarian access and stop any breaches. The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) must be given complete authorisation to carry out its essential functions without hindrance or political interference.

“Most importantly, Israeli forces must completely withdraw from the occupied Palestinian lands, including Gaza, as the people of Palestine deserve permanent peace and prosperity,” he stated.

He emphasised, “Even though the world denounces the unrelenting aggression in Gaza, we must not let our focus stray from the dire situation in the West Bank.”

“The ongoing growth of illegal settlements remains a blatant violation of international law and a major impediment to peace,” he declared.

Based on the pertinent and legitimate resolutions of the UN Security Council and General Assembly, Pakistan is still adamantly dedicated to finding a fair, long-lasting, and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue. Pakistan affirms that it fully supports the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, including the crucial right to self-determination and the creation of an independent, viable, and contiguous State of Palestine with its capital at Al-Quds Al-Sharif, based on pre-1967 boundaries,” he said.

“Pakistan reaffirms solidarity with the Palestinian people today and for all time,” the prime minister stated. We support the Palestinian people in their righteous fight, their deserved fortitude, and their legitimate desire for freedom, dignity, and peace.
