Pakistan’s weekly inflation rate decreases by 0.59 percent.

The weekly inflation, as shown by the Sensitive Price Indicator (SPI), declined by 0.59 percent for the overall consumption group for the week ending November 6, 2025, according to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) data released on Friday.
The PBS data indicates that the SPI for the reviewed week was 333.55 points, a decrease from 335.53 points the previous week. The SPI rose by 4.18 percent year-on-year.
The weekly SPI, with a base year of 2015-16 set at 100, encompasses 17 urban centers and 51 key commodities across all expenditure categories.
The SPI for the lowest consumption category (up to Rs17,732) declined by 1.04 percent, down from 331.18 points to 327.73 points compared to the previous week.
The SPI for consumption groups of Rs17,733–22,888; Rs22,889–29,517; Rs29,518–44,175; and above Rs44,175 decreased by 0.93 percent, 0.74 percent, 0.66 percent, and 0.44 percent, respectively.
Throughout the week, of the 51 goods, the prices of 18 (35.29%) things rose, 12 (23.53%) items fell, and 21 (41.18%) items were stable.
The principal commodities that experienced an increase during the week were eggs (2.40%), bananas (2.32%), firewood (1.61%), diesel (1.12%), beef (0.93%), prepared tea (0.92%), petrol (0.91%), bread (0.55%), wheat flour (0.34%), powdered milk (0.31%), and a 5-litre tin of cooking oil (0.21%).
Items exhibiting a decrease in costs comprised tomatoes (37.93%), onions (4.88%), garlic (3.23%), pulse gram (1.58%), chicken (0.68%), sugar (0.64%), gur (0.60%), pulse masoor (0.55%), and LPG (0.15%).
Year-on-year, significant price increases were noted for ladies’ sandals (55.62%), sugar (43.67%), gas charges for Q1 (29.85%), wheat flour (19.50%), gur (18.88%), firewood (14.25%), beef (14.09%), vegetable ghee 2.5kg (11.53%), onions (11.22%), vegetable ghee 1kg (9.79%), and diesel (9.29%).
Commodities seeing a year-on-year decrease encompassed garlic (33.54%), pulse gram (29.82%), power costs for Q1 (26.26%), potatoes (22.32%), tomatoes (19.69%), tea (17.79%), pulse mash (15.52%), chicken (15.16%), LPG (9.14%), and pulse masoor (4.95%).
