Adding to his remarks, Mohsin Naqvi said there is no cause for fear with the selection of BCCI Secretary Jay Shah to lead the Independent International Cricket Council (ICC).
“Jay Shah’s appointment as ICC Chairman is not problematic,” Naqvi said.
Next, the PCB CEO revealed that the stadium improvements will be finished in time for the Champions Trophy to start.
By September 30, work will be completed on the Gaddafi Stadium basement. In three weeks, every floor will be finished. It would be a steel structure in the front building. Naqvi stated that the Gaddafi Stadium’s main structure would be finished by December 31.
Before the Champions Trophy, seats will be installed in Indi Stadium, which will need to be totally dismantled and rebuilt.
He added, “The Champions Trophy will not coincide with the completion of renovations at Karachi’s [National Stadium].
