Petrol prices rose by Rs2.43, while diesel prices jumped by Rs3.02 per litre.

The government has increased the prices of petroleum products, with both petrol and high-speed diesel experiencing a rise, effective from 1 November until 15 November 2025.
A statement from the Ministry of Finance indicates that the revised rates became effective at midnight. The recent escalation is a result of an evaluation of petroleum product prices, which are consistently modified according to global trends and domestic economic factors.
The price of petrol has increased by Rs2.43 per litre, raising the new price from Rs263.02 to Rs265.45. The price of high-speed diesel has increased by Rs4.04 per liter, rising from Rs275.42 to Rs278.44. These modifications are integral to the government’s regular revision protocol, which generally transpires biweekly.
The costs of light diesel have risen by Re1.22 per litre, while kerosene oil has climbed by Rs3.34 per litre. Following the price hike, the revised cost of kerosene oil would be Rs185.05 per litre, while the updated price of light diesel oil will be Rs163.98 per litre.
