Petroleum prices are expected to decrease by as much as Rs11 next week.

According to government sources, fuel prices are expected to decrease by up to Rs11 per litre in the forthcoming review, thereby providing relief to inflation-affected consumers.

According to preliminary projections, petrol may decrease by 36 paisas per litre, while high-speed diesel is anticipated to decline by Rs11.85 per litre. Sources indicated that kerosene oil may experience a reduction of Rs11.70 per litre, while light diesel might decrease by Rs10.01 per litre.

OGRA is anticipated to submit the price summary to the government on December 15. Upon the prime minister’s approval, the Petroleum Division will disseminate an official notification.

Should the proposed amendment be approved, the new petrol price will be set at Rs263.09 per litre. High-speed diesel is priced at Rs267.80 per litre. Kerosene oil would be marketed at Rs181.16 per litre, while light diesel will be priced at Rs153.76 per liter.

For numerous people facing financial difficulties, the prospective decrease could provide relief during challenging economic conditions.
