Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was visited by Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Thursday, who gave him an update on his recent trips to Iran and Oman.

Important issues pertaining to the Ministry of Interior, the state of security, and regional connectivity were the main topics of discussion. The Interior Minister gave a briefing on the subjects of his talks with Iranian and Omani authorities, including border management advancements, immigration concerns, and bilateral security cooperation.

The region’s peace, stability, and economic development depend on strong cooperation with its neighbors, the prime minister underlined. He ordered that the combined strategy for border security and the fight against drug and human trafficking be strengthened in light of the region’s security issues.

The National Action Plan’s implementation, urban security measures, the Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) performance, the Ministry of Interior’s ongoing projects, and NADRA’s digital reform initiatives were also examined at the conference.

The Prime Minister praised the Interior Ministry’s efforts and declared that safeguarding the lives and property of residents is the government’s top priority. He also promised that the security institutions will receive all the resources they require.
