PM Shehbaz announces federal employees’ early Eid salaries

Federal government workers would get paid before Eid-ul-Fitr 2026, according to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Federal departments have started processing early payments in accordance with his special directive to guarantee that workers are paid before the holiday.
March 20 and 21 have been designated as official public holidays for Eid-ul-Fitr, according to a notification released by Pakistan’s Cabinet Division with the prime minister’s assent.
According to the announcement, March 20 (Friday) and March 21 (Saturday) will be national government holidays. In the meanwhile, Sunday, March 22, is already a weekly holiday.
According to reports, Ramadan is expected to last for all 30 days this year, with the first Shawwal and Eid falling on Saturday, March 21. However, the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will formally announce the final date.
