PM Shehbaz travels to the United States for the first Board of Peace meeting.

Today, Wednesday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif came in Washington to attend the Gaza Board of Peace’s first meeting.
On February 19, the prime minister is expected to attend a board meeting, a measure spearheaded by President Trump. Rehabilitating Gaza after the conflict and other related issues are reportedly the main topics of the BoP session.
Several important Muslim nations, such as Pakistan, and several non-Muslim states have backed the BoP, which President Trump established.
According to the sources, Muslim nations are anticipated to provide up to $5 billion in financial support for Gaza’s reconstruction and rehabilitation.
Three main goals will be the focus of the summit: bolstering and solidifying the ceasefire in Gaza, securing financial support for the BoP, and forming the framework of a global forum that President Trump has envisioned as a more efficient means of resolving disputes than current international platforms.
For the first time since its formation in January, the group will convene in Washington on Thursday to talk about plans for Gaza’s restoration.
In order to maintain security, participants are also anticipated to discuss the creation of an International Stabilization Force (ISF) for Gaza.
The meeting, which brings together international leaders to discuss coordinated measures for peacebuilding and long-term regional stability, is being seen as a key diplomatic move.
