Police provide LHC with a 27-point security plan for Basant.

To guarantee peaceful Basant celebrations in the city, Lahore police have presented the Lahore High Court with a 27-point security plan.
The province government would supply 5,000 rickshaws to enable free transportation services throughout Basant days, according to the police report. Authorities have identified hotspots for kite flying throughout the city based on a ten-year investigation. Lahore will be separated into three zones—Red, Yellow, and Green—for efficient security control.
According to the report, during Basant, motorcycles without antennas will not be permitted to enter Red Zones. Both riders and passengers will be required to wear helmets in certain zones. Throughout the festival, security guards will be stationed throughout the city to prevent unlawful rooftop activities.
Kite flying will only be allowed with certified cotton thread, and anyone caught producing or selling metallic or chemically coated strings would face harsh consequences. Drone cameras will be used to monitor high-kite-flying areas to make sure safety rules are being followed.
In the event of an emergency, Quick Response Teams (QRTs) will be ready to respond. Newspapers and social media will also be used to start a campaign to raise awareness about safe kite flying. In order to prevent and quickly address any issues involving electricity during the Basant celebrations, the police will also work closely with LESCO.
According to authorities, the plan will be carried out under close monitoring and is intended to strike a balance between public safety and cultural enjoyment.
