PPP MNA requests army chief to protect Sindh from scoundrels
Speaking at a celebration of Independence Day in Matiari, Zaman bemoaned the fact that upper Sindh was under the control of “dacoit raj,” or the reign of bandits, and that nobody could travel around independently.
The PPP MNA from Matiari’s NA-216 constituency asserted that the Katcha dacoits were powerless against the Sindh government since it had not addressed the problem of crime.
He urged the army head, “I implore you once more to handle the situation on your own.”
Declaring that the dacoit problem could not be solved by the provincial government, Zaman called on COAS Asim Munir to come to Sindh and find a solution. He gave the military’s sacrifices credit for the survival and stability of the nation.
The residents of Matiari, according to Makhdoom Jameel-uz-Zaman, adored PPP but felt blatantly disregarded.
It is important to note that the state of law and order in Sindh, particularly in the katcha area, is getting worse every day as dacoits continue to kidnap people and demand ransom, and the police have “failed” to keep things under control.
