PPP secured an agreement, and the 27th amendment will soon be tabled: Dar

Ishaq Dar, the foreign minister and deputy prime minister, declared on Tuesday that the cabinet would shortly present the 27th constitutional amendment to the legislature.

He noted that other coalition partners would also be taken into consideration, adding that the PML-N and the PPP had agreed on one important aspect of the modification.

During the Senate session, Dar said these things. “In compliance with the Constitution, we shall present it. He informed the chamber that “you (the opposition) will have the opportunity to debate and give your opinion on it.”

The issue would be referred to a National Assembly legal committee, he added. He underlined, “I assure you there will be no rush to pass the amendment hastily.”

According to the deputy prime minister, talks are still going on with the government’s primary coalition partner, and the MQM, ANP, and BAP are among the other allies who will be consulted.

“The 27th Constitutional Amendment is being introduced by the government and will be implemented,” Dar reiterated. You will be shown the completed paper.

Dar made reference to the recent remarks made by PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto, saying, “I have seen Bilawal’s statement — it is his right to express his views.” His arguments were not without merit; in fact, they have been discussed. After finding common ground, the PPP and PML-N will now enlist the support of more allies.

He refuted the allegations by saying that the administration will consult with partners, legal forums, and stakeholders rather than having the amendment “parachuted” from nowhere.
