President Zardari arrives in Bahrain for a four-day official visit.

Tuesday marked the start of President Asif Ali Zardari’s four-day official visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain, which aims to improve collaboration in important areas and fortify bilateral ties.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa, Commander of the Bahrain National Guard, and Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, welcomed the president upon his arrival. According to a news release from the presidency, Saqib Rauf, the ambassador of Pakistan to Bahrain, and Mohammed Ibrahim Abdulqader, the ambassador of Bahrain to Pakistan, were also present.

President Zardari is expected to meet with Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of Bahrain, as well as Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
