Prices of gold and silver go up sharply in Pakistan, following a trend around the world

After global metal rates went up on Tuesday, the prices of gold and silver went up a lot on both the international and local markets.

On the foreign bullion market, the price of gold went up by $62 an ounce, making it worth $5,168 an ounce now.

As the price of gold went up around the world, it also went up in Pakistan. 24-karat gold went up in price by Rs6,200 per tola, to Rs539,562 per tola. On the local market, the price of 10 grams of gold went up by Rs5,316 and now stands at Rs462,587.

The price of silver also went up a lot across the land. The price of a tola of silver went up by 460 rupees, to Rs9,354.

In the same way, 10 grams of silver cost Rs394, which made the new price Rs8,019.

Analysts say that changes in the international bullion market continue to have an effect on local prices. Investors keep a close eye on global economic trends and the demand for valuable metals.
