PTI leaders and even family members oppose Imran Khan’s release: Khawaja Asif

Defense Minister Khawaja Asif stated on Tuesday that Imran Khan’s family members and even the leaders of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), the party’s founders, oppose his release from prison.
Khawaja Asif remarked on the social media site “X” that the current state of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has gotten to the point where it seems the party’s leadership, family members, and “social media activists” do not want him to be freed.
“They’re all running their own businesses [doing politics], and they won’t let those businesses close,” he stated. The current state of affairs is evident on television throughout the day, he continued.
The defense minister went on to say that although the politicians outside of the PTI do not even have a single vote, Imran Khan, the party’s vote-holder, is presently behind bars.
