PTI removes UK protest video and disassociates from comments regarding CDF Asim Munir.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has disassociated itself from the contentious statements made by a female protester during a demonstration in the United Kingdom against Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Asim Munir, as reported by ARY News.

PTI UK has deleted a video from its official X account concerning the latest protest in Bradford, which included the woman’s comments directed at the army leader.

PTI Pakistan stated that it has no affiliation with the woman or her remarks made during the protest. The party specified that the woman is not an office-bearer of PTI and that her opinions, vocabulary, and manner of speaking do not represent the party’s official position.

PTI reaffirmed its principled opposition to violence, provocation, hate speech, and the utilization of unpleasant or inappropriate language. The party asserts its steadfast commitment to a democratic, constitutional, and peaceful political struggle, rejecting any actions by individuals or groups that contravene these principles.

PTI UK stated that the video was removed “out of an abundance of caution” to avert any possible misinterpretation and to safeguard the individual’s legal rights.

The statement indicated that PTI does not condone any form of illicit behavior and urged independent citizens to use caution in their comments to prevent misinterpretation.

PTI reiterated its dedication to non-violence and the rule of law, asserting that the party is aligned with the principles established by its founder, Imran Khan.
