Rain is predicted by the Met Office as a western weather system moves into Pakistan.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department’s (PMD) forecast, a western disturbance is expected to arrive in the country tomorrow and cause sporadic rainfall in a number of areas during the next days.
The PMD predicts that the western system will intensify on December 30 and impact the central and northern regions by December 31. It will continue to dominate the northern regions until January 2, 2026.
Punjab
Murree and Galyat may see rain, thunderstorms, and snowfall in steep regions between the evening of December 30 and January 2. Heavy winds, rain, and thunderstorms are predicted for Islamabad, Rawalpindi, the Potohar region, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Mandi Bahauddin, Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore, Sheikhupura, and Gujarat on December 31 and January 1. On December 31, Mianwali, Bhakkar, Sargodha, Khushab, Norpur Thal, Layyah, Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan, Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Bahawalnagar, Muzaffargarh, Jhang, and Sahiwal are also predicted to have light rain, strong gusts, and thunderstorms.
Balochistan
Strong winds, rain, and snowfall in mountainous areas are expected in the following cities between tonight and December 31: Quetta, Ziarat, Chaman, Pishin, Qila Abdullah, Qila Saifullah, Nushki, Harnai, Zhob, Qalat, Barkhan, Sibi, Loralai, Musakhel, Turbat, Gwadar, Jiwani, Lasbela, Kech, Awaran, Chagai, Panjgur, Khuzdar, Washuk, and Kharan.
Sindh
During the same time frame, Karachi, Hyderabad, Dadu, Jacobabad, Kashmore, Larkana, Thatta, Badin, and the neighbouring districts are anticipated to have light rain or drizzle.
Pakhtunkhwa Khyber
Chitral, Dir, Swat, Shangla, Kohistan, Battagram, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Buner, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Orakzai, Kurram, Waziristan, Peshawar, Charsadda, Nowshera, Swabi, Bannu, Karak, Dera Ismail Khan, Tank, and Kohat are all expected to experience sporadic rain, thunderstorms, and strong winds on December 30 and 31. In the top regions, moderate to heavy snowfall is anticipated.
Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan
Diamer, Astore, Ghanche, Skardu, Hunza, Gilgit, Ghizer, and Shigar, as well as Kashmir regions like Neelum Valley, Muzaffarabad, Poonch, Hattian, Bagh, Haveli, Sudhnoti, Kotli, Bhimber, and Mirpur, are predicted to experience sporadic rain and moderate snowfall between the evening of December 30 and January 2.
