Rain-related occurrences in Balochistan killed 16 people, including 11 children.

As floods and rains continue to wreak havoc in Balochistan, the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) reported on Tuesday that at least 16 people had died and 16 more were injured.

Five men and eleven children have died since March 20, according to the PDMA, largely as a result of walls and roofs falling during intense rain and flooding.

Eleven children, four women, and one man are among the injured.

The study states that Zhob had the most deaths—six—followed by Loralai with three, Kech with two, and Qila Abdullah, Daki, Kohlu, Jafarabad, and Kachhi with one apiece.

According to the report, 161 homes in the province were impacted, of which 127 were partially damaged and 34 were completely destroyed.

The rains also killed at least 65 animals, mostly sheep, according to authorities, who said a thorough evaluation of the losses is still in progress.
